Rev. Dr. Joe Jursa, Pastor

I have been married to my wife Linda for 35 years.  We have two daughters, Ruth and Sabrina.  Ruth is a teacher at Terry Parker High School.  Sabrina lives at home with us for now.  We have two grandchildren Connor and Lukas whom you will see in the CEC program here at St. Paul.

I graduated Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Oceanography, Asbury Seminary with a Master of Divinity and Columbia Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Divinity.  My doctoral dissertation was on discipline in the Christian family.

I have served Shingle Creek UMC in Kissimmee, St. Paul UMC in North Miami, Calvary UMC in Orange Park, North UMC in Sarasota and Boca West UMC in Boca Raton.  I was in the Jacksonville area at the time of the beginning of the Emmaus Community and was instrumental in the formation of the community.
