Bringing a rich journey of faith, leadership, and love for people, Pastor Debbie Daley-Salinger’s life has taken her from the vibrant shores of Jamaica to the bustling streets of New York City at just sixteen. Grateful for every step of the journey, she pursued a degree in computer science at Brooklyn College and later two master’s degrees at Asbury Theological Seminary. Before stepping into full-time pastoral ministry, she spent two decades as a corporate manager in the technology industry—experiences that taught her both success and struggle, and shaped her heart for people from all walks of life. While serving in ministry, she earned a Doctor of Ministry from Portland Seminary, always seeking to better serve those God places in her care.
Pastor Debbie is known for her deep love for Jesus Christ and for helping people—especially those who feel on the edges—experience that love personally. Her ministry reflects a heart for the overlooked and the hurting, a commitment to walking alongside others in real life, and a desire for every person to discover a relationship with Christ deepened by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Married for nearly four decades, Pastor Debbie finds joy in her family—her husband Peter and their three daughters—and in life’s simple pleasures: beach walks, meals shared, books, movies, and exploring diverse cultures. Her faith is nourished daily by prayer, study, and community.
At St. Paul UMC, Pastor Debbie leads with the conviction that church should be a place where all are welcome and no one feels unseen—a community where God’s love is shared, lives are changed, and the Spirit’s healing and hope meet people right where they are.
